For practitioners

If you have
someone in mind.

I work within OsteopathyBC standards and a biopsychosocial frame. I am happy to talk through a case before you refer — tell me what you are seeing, and I will tell you honestly whether it fits.

What I commonly see

The presentations I work with most regularly:

  • Chronic musculoskeletal pain — back, neck, pelvis, headache
  • Post-partum recovery: pelvic, abdominal, and thoracic patterns after birth
  • Infants: birth strain patterns, feeding difficulty, sleep and settling, plagiocephaly
  • Pregnancy: low back and pelvic pain, round ligament tension, rib and diaphragm restriction
  • Nervous system dysregulation — including patients with developmental trauma, ADHD, autism, and chronic anxiety held in the body
  • Post-surgical or post-injury reorganisation, once the acute phase has settled

The trauma-aware and nervous-system work is a particular focus. I have over 300 hours of specific training in this area, using a modern, regulation-based, attuned hands-on approach (Kain, Terrell, Transforming Touch, Somatic Resilience and Regulation). Patients who have found other bodywork overwhelming or ineffective often respond differently here.

What I refer out

I refer regularly, and I will tell your patient early if their presentation is outside my scope or would be better served elsewhere:

  • Pelvic floor dysfunction requiring internal assessment — pelvic floor physiotherapy
  • Patterns that are primarily relational or psychological — PsyD, RSW, RCC, trauma therapists, somatic therapists
  • Complex orthopaedic or post-surgical presentations — specialist physiotherapy
  • Situations needing a working medical diagnosis before treatment makes sense — GP or existing specialist
  • Red flags — I am familiar with BC screening criteria and will act on them promptly

Before you refer

A brief conversation is always welcome. If you are unsure whether a patient is a good fit, write or call — I would rather spend ten minutes on that than have a patient arrive and leave without the care they needed.

I am registered with OsteopathyBC. If you need my registration number for a referral form, contact me directly.

Working alongside

I work comfortably alongside midwives, RMTs, doulas, GPs, physiotherapists, and counsellors. I can send brief progress or discharge notes when asked. I am transparent about what I found, what I worked with, and what I observed — and I do not overstate my scope in those communications.

Professional consultation & mentoring

I am available for professional consultation with other practitioners — working through a presentation together, discussing load patterns, or thinking through what manual or somatic approaches are worth considering. I also offer mentoring for practitioners wanting to develop their enactive/biopsychosocial or trauma-informed framing.

Starting at $250 USD/EUR per hour. Fee personalised for engagements of 3+ hours. These services are available in French and English.

This work lives on its own site — Somatic Consultation — where the consultation, mentoring, and study-group formats are set out in full. If it is useful to you, write directly; I am glad to talk before committing to anything.
